Revenue figures completely unreliable[]

I haven't looked super in depth, but the references for alot of these games have been badly misinterpreted such that revenue figures are wildly inflated. When you buy a Wii unit for $200 with Wii Sports bundled, Wii Sports should not get credit for the entire amount. This is a ridiculous assumption. The game should get credit for some value around the separate unit cost for Wii Sports. Typically a bundled product generates less revenue than a separate unit for the company, but makes it up in volume.

Anyway, as with pretty much all wikis, you have to check the references, because otherwise the "facts" could be pure vandalism. The primary editor of this page should get credit for trying to be diligent and adding references, but they need to be good references also and interpreted correctly. If a reference doesn't have an excerpt from the source that relates to the specific fact in question, it is likely put there to fool the lazy reader. Or, it means the user who added the reference was hoping it would be obvious or that the reader would figure it out. I think these references were added with good intentions, but they are misleading. --Fandyllic 00:18, January 31, 2013 (UTC)

Point taken. Wii Sports was a bit tricky, since it doesn't have an official individual price tag outside of Japan, so I initially went with the official hardware+software price in each region. The other option would be to use the Japan price tag as the official price, which is what I've done now and updated the article accordingly. Jagged85 (talk) 04:38, January 23, 2014 (UTC)

Split-up[]

This article (now that the template links have been fixed) should be sub-divided into it's appropriate sections (as Wiki now limits the number of template calls per article).--TwoTailedFox (talk) 22:41, February 16, 2015 (UTC)
