Lord of the Jungle is a video game released for the PlayStation in 2000, and published by Midas Interactive. While there is a variety of mini-games targeted for young children, the game has the peculiarity of having more of a cinematic feel, rather than playable portions.

Plot[ | ]

A group of gorillas curiously investigate the crying small being lying on the ground. And although it looks quite strange, the apes take it with them and educate it like their own children. The small white ape, as he is called, learns to climb, jump and hunt. And soon the child was able to communicate with all inhabitants of the jungle in their animal language. His best friend, however, is Raja, the chimp girl.

One day, humans came into the jungle. For the white ape, it is the first time he sees humans. Soon he discovers, that he was much more similar to these beings than to the members of the apes-family he has to make a hard decision...

Reception[ | ]

The animated feature included, like most of the Dingo Pictures ones, released by Midas Interactive and Phoenix Games, has been widely panned for its cheap-looking animation, awkward-sounding English dub, irritating characters, and misplaced music. It's also considered, along with the box art, mainly a rip-off of Disneys's Tarzan.
